High Lighting Service was selected to upgrade the track lighting inside the Alex and Marie Manoogian Museum. The existing halogen system had aged significantly, and many of the fixture mounts had become brittle—some had even cracked and were hanging by their wires. To address these issues, the lighting was replaced with modern architectural LED track fixtures featuring adjustable beam angles.
The new system provides precise illumination, allowing the museum to highlight artwork and historic artifacts without over‑lighting surrounding areas, resulting in a more refined and visually balanced presentation.
The new track lighting system performed exceptionally well. A key advantage was the use of a Global Track, which allows rotation between multiple circuits within the same track, providing greater flexibility during installation. The adjustable beam angle—ranging from 25° to 60°—also played an important role. Without this level of adjustability, the existing track locations would not have been viable, as fixed beam angles would have produced light patterns that were either too narrow or too wide for the displays.
The benefits of this project were twofold. First, the new fixtures were installed efficiently, which helped keep labor costs down. Second, the museum has received excellent feedback from visitors—many noting the improved presentation of the exhibits, including comments such as “Great work at a fair price.”
