Today we finished the install of LED spot lights (we mounted them to electrical boxes), which replaced 200w and 300w Halogen Par lamp fixtures. These LED spot lights have great dimming capabilities considering we are using them on a traditional phase-cut voltage dimmer. Because this church, like many, uses the phase control dimmers that were installed many years ago (and that they have become accustomed to), it was important to find an option that didn’t require the install of wireless dimming transmitters/receivers or running low voltage wire to every fixture for 0-10v dimming control usage. By pairing a compatible LED fixture with the phase-cut voltage dimmer, our customer was able to keep their DMX controls programmed without an issue. While we encourage the install of wireless controls/low voltage wire controls for premium dimming capabilities, it’s not always a cost-effective solution for every customer. Today our customer is happy.
